A third and final set of photography for this weeks Vilhelm Hammershøi Kick about over on Red’s Kingdom. A different earlier set in the process this time – taking notice and documenting light as it created various shapes against different elements within my home.

Very artful and graphical compositions here: I’m reminded of the work of Charles Sheeler:https://www.nga.gov/features/slideshows/charles-sheeler.html#slide_4. I reckon, given your recent illustrative work of interiors/exteriors – you could use these images as a basis from some wonderfully ‘reduced’ digital paintings etc 🙂

Thanks for the inspiration Phil! I’ve never heard of Charles Sheeler, but there’s something really compelling about how stripped back his work is – just lovely blocks of colour!
