This series has real filmic quality, Graeme – can’t make up my mind what type of film… maybe it’s just me, but I do get a low-level sense of foreboding from these woods!

Cheers Phil! I know what you mean, I think the woods will always have that affect – especially when you are there by yourself, It’s like a peaceful strangeness. And the one thing that I don’t like about sitka spruces is that they block so much light so nothing grows underneath and around them so certain patches are really dark and add to that foreboding.
